FAQs

How do I check-in online?

Once your booking is confirmed you will receive an email with easy online check-in instructions.

What time can I check in?

Your room will be ready from 3pm on the day of your booking but you can check-in online up to 24h in advance.

What time can I check out?

Check out is at 11am. Since we only have a few rooms we are not really able to offer a late check out. However, if you have any special requirements please contact us directly and we will see if there is anything we can do to accommodate these.

Can I guarantee an early check in/late check out ahead of time?

If you need to guarantee an early check in or late check out you will need to book and pay for either the prior or following night. Our concierge is available from 9am and can hold your luggage if you arrive early, or if you want to leave later in the day (until 5pm), after you have checked out.

Do you have a 24 hour concierge?

Our concierge is only available between 9am – 5pm daily. We have 24 hour phone support available outside of these hours for emergencies.

How do I contact someone outside of your reception hours?

All guests will have access to 24 hour emergency phone support.

Whats included in the complimentary breakfast?

We have two options sourced the best from local café’s and patisseries  which change seasonally. NICE may include: acai bowl, a protein porridge or chia pudding (vegan, gluten free, dairy free) and  NAUGHTY will be a selection of delicious pastries.

Is parking available at the Hotel?

There are 6 public Pay & Display parking bays outside of the guesthouse. These are restricted Mon-Fri 8.30am-6.30pm and Sat 8.30am-1.30pm which means between these hours you will have to pay to park and can only stay for  max 1 hour. Alternatively a number of secure car-parks are located within a 15min walk.

Do you have a lift?

Our Victorian townhouse only has stairs, which are authentically narrow and unsuitable for large or heavy luggage. If accessibility is an issue, you might be better off booking The Quarters located on the ground floor. However, please keep mind that this is out most compact room. For more information please contact us directly.

Do you offer wheelchair access?

Being a Victorian building with heritage restrictions unfortunately we don’t have wheelchair access. If you don’t use a wheelchair but find stairs difficult, you might be more comfortable booking The Quarters which is on ground floor. Please contact us directly ahead of booking to discuss your requirements in detail.

Do you service rooms daily?

The rooms are cleaned, and the bed made daily. However, in line with our sustainability ethos and in effort to conserve water we offer a full room clean including turndown service twice a week. If you wish to request a daily turnover in your room, please ask the concierge to arrange.

Do you offer corporate rates or extended stay rates?

Yes we do. Please contact us with your enquiry.

Can I book all four rooms?

Depending on availability, yes. Please contact us with your enquiry.

Can children stay?

Children 12 years and are over are welcome to stay, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate younger guests at this time. But if you wish to book the entire townhouse with little ones in tow, please contact us and we’ll do our best to make this possible.

Do you allow pets to stay?

Unfortunately no, but if you wish to book the entire townhouse there may be some exemption. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Can I smoke in my room?

No. All of our room are non-smoking rooms.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our products

All the toiletries used at The Lost Poet are made sustainably, in Britain.

Single use elimination

In efforts to eliminate single use items, we use refillable products in bathrooms and water is provided in refillable glassware instead of plastic bottles.

We aim to limit printing on paper by going online for check in and keyless entry.

Energy saving

To save energy, we use LED lights and sensor lights.

Recycling & waste

We sort all of our guest room waste, so it is sorted and recycled accordingly. We also use eco compostable bin liners in the room rubbish bin instead of plastic bin liners.
